There is a belief among many indigenous people that at this time there is a great return to the Earth, that the children of the Earth will reclaim her, and that people of the heart will come together.
I find when I am in the company of people who hold out this Good Will, who cherish the Earth and respect the diversity of Life...I feel at home. And slowly but surely I am choosing that feeling of Home. And slowly but surely I am finding more people wanting the same. It is as if we have been hiding under a rock waiting for the safe moment to come out...all ye, all ye in free...come out, come out wherever you are...
I don't have illusions of utopia, not even sure what that would look like...but a return to simplicity, self dignity and respect for others wouldn't be a bad start...so I hoe my potatoes and marvel again as I did as a child at the glorious gift of Life and all it's wonders. I think about Kindness.
The Kindness that beacons me to my heart, that helps me recognize wisdom and keeps me sane.
The Kindness that draws like minded people together to enjoy, to support, to celebrate.
The Kindness that let's me enjoy milking goats in the rain.
The Kindness that will bring Annie Kahn to Echo Valley, and all the other Dreams that have been dreamed and will come true.
The experts are saying our children need to be outside more (after they told us to keep them in).
The summer is ripe with possibility and Echo Valley is as outside as you can get.
You and your children are welcome.
Wishing you well,
