We continue to work on our solar power systems at Echo Valley. The lines are in and the poles for the solar arrays are up.
The panels will go up this month. Enjoy these pictures by Michael Noho:

Echo Valley is beautiful. The people there are inviting and inclusive, and live on their farm with intention and love. I immediately felt included, and learned a lot while I was there. They treat their animals and each other with dignity, and it's a wonderful environment for learning and working. Echo Valley comes highly recommended; I will surely be back! Go check it out!

Echo Valley is a peaceful place, were generous people welcome you with open arms. It is more than just a wwoofing farm, here we learn about the beauty and respect one should have for our planet, patience one should acquire and how we should all appreciate a good sunset.
There are always things to do on the farm, but you don't have time limits of targets to meet, if you see something that needs doing, you just do it!

While we were there we helped them put up some solar panels, plant vegetables and tomatoes, weeding, we were also able to have a better understanding with animals too (roosters, hens, sheep , dogs and cats, ...). We shared delicious meals, many different conversations and unforgettable souvenirs.

We shared all of this with many laughs and smiles and an awesome atmosphere!
Thank you to all!

October 6, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Give thanks and prepare for winter with Joe & Vicki Price and Subvocal.

Joe & Vicki Price Subvocal
Iowa blues duo Joe & Vicki Price are winners in the 9th annual Independent Music Awards (The IMAs). Their last release, Rain or Shine, took honors for the best blues CD of 2009. They have been performing together for 30 years.  "Madison's Subvocal plays moody, layered music that should appeal to fans of Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois. The group's performance was one of the highlights of the 2006 Madison Area Music Awards show."

Let Kindness Win

Echo Valley Hope needs you. We don’t need a government grant or corporate sponsorship. We need you to become a member and to invite your friends. Why? It is time to raise the voice of peace and it is time for self sufficiency in food and energy production. It is time for healthy communities and for helping one another.

Echo Valley Hope is part of a revolution of understanding and good will that is emerging. We are networking with creative organizations and individuals holding out for the best for everyone. Your support is needed to help fund our educational programs and our peace gatherings and to support our financial aid to like-minded organizations and causes.

Your support is also a signal to those who say peace is not possible that it is time to think again.

We are the little engine that could and we are fueled by you. We have set a goal for 680 new members in 2012. We hope you will be one – and thank you to all who have already become members this year.

Membership is a free-will, tax-deductible donation of $25.00 or whatever you choose to give.
