JUNE 2014

Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.
- Maya Angelou

It seems love is what we do best. So let’s get on with it.

Not willing to be driven by the past, we know the way out is in our dignity as human beings and in celebrating being alive. Echo Valley Hope is offering a time for people who are cutting a path for peace for ourselves and for our children.

The June Peacemaker Gathering is entitled Human Rights, Human Dignity, with a focus on personal peace. Come for the weekend or Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Celebrate with great food and traditional Andean music by Caupolicán on Saturday evening.

For more information, call 608.337.4871.
There is no cost for the gathering.
Accommodations available.
$5 suggested for each meal.

For upcoming gatherings:

Enjoy their presentation on their recent and successful Benkadi Project, Senuyaa Initiative, a clean water project bringing families in Guinea fresh clean water using biosand filters.

Cost: $50 suggested donation to Motherland Rhythm Community, $5 / meal.

Never give up hope.

We want to stop ATC's Badger-Coulee high voltage transmission line because it is not necessary. It is a waste of money tying us to outdated fossil fuels and grid systems as well as destroying farm land, tourist sites, and disrupting the lives of many.

This proposal is now under review. If you live or visit this area and have any input into the environmental impact, the Public Service commission is accepting comments at
