JUNE 2016

June. The undeniable parade of life springs into full bloom, and if one allows, the vigor and the charm is infectious. There is hopefulness in this time of year. New life, new growth meant to carry us through until it returns again. These are the times when our interconnectedness with the earth is beyond doubt. The need to plant, to get our toes into the soil, to make way for tasty treats on our tables.

Children of all ages are in awe of the magic of planting a seed and watching it grow. It is one of the keys to being forever young.

The gentle spring rains awaken and unlock the fragrances of the season and serve as one of the best tonics. The singing birds, now all returned, are adamant about letting the whole world know who they are as they celebrate being home again. And if you are fortunate to see the stars, don’t hesitate. The spectrum is a comfort to the soul, and expands our dreams.

This is our moment on this amazing planet to enjoy, to appreciate, and to participate. Echo Valley is humming with life, and you are welcome.

"Intentional human beings living in community"

Echo Valley Farm is a community-sustained farm in our 14th year. Created to give people a chance to learn from the land and one another, we have transitioned into a sustainable farm consisting of 100+ acres, a licensed commercial kitchen, and a wood shop including a portable saw mill.

We hold people and the environment before profit, and personal peace as the foundation of community. People are welcomed year round through WWOOF, Help X, Slow Travelers and other volunteer programs, or as guests.

We have room for full- or part-time residents. If creating a new model of community in a rural environment and maintaining collaborations with like-minded people throughout the world is an exciting prospect to you, consider a short-term stay.
