February 2017

It appears lovers of earth and humanity are in for a bumpy ride for a bit. Fasten your seat belts and hold onto your heart. Love those around you; stand up for diversity and for the protection of water. We are passing through a time of renewal.

Everything that has been built on lies and propaganda will be falling away. The inhumanity will continue as long as we allow it. The way to stop it is with love and compassion. Our actions should be nonviolent but unrelenting. Our motivations must be clear and united.

Heart of Standing Rock

When you are in doubt, be still, and wait. When doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage. So long as mists envelop you, be still. Be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists - as it surely will; Then act with courage.
- Ponca Chief White Eagle

EVHEcho Valley Hope, the 501(c)3 educational and charitable nonprofit, will be launching the podcast "Sustainable Peace" later this month. As part of this series, Dena Eakles will be available to travel and speak to communities and organizations on becoming sustainable and on our shared needs: clean water, food, air, and peace. Please contact her for details.

We will also be continuing to support the Water Protectors at Standing Rock, the Back 40, and all pipelines throughout North America. Dena will be traveling back to Standing Rock later this month. You can continue to read her updates on Echo Valley Hope's Facebook page and on her blog, Let Kindness Win.

Echo Valley Farm will continue to provide a safe haven for people of peace. We will grow food and continue our effort to be 100% fossil fuel-free - we are nearly there!

We have the ability to house more people. If living in community, fully committed to sustainable peace, is something you yearn for, look us up. Short-term visits are always welcome, particularly as we are moving towards spring planting. We are a WWOOF and Help X host.
