November 2017

The winter’s wood is nearly in. The animals have enough hay to see us through.
This is the time we begin to think of spring and new possibilities. Growing more food, protecting the water, encouraging more of us to live simply, cooperatively… peacefully.

People aspire to all sorts of things. Aspiration is something we are good at. Time to aspire wisely. Turn laments into positive action. Transform anger and show the world the compassion and fortitude so desperately needed.

Today, with summer past and fall waning, let us accept the silence and depth of winter and prepare for a better day.

Echo Valley welcomes dreamers, movers and shakers, and ordinary folk who love life. We have room for people who recognize the wisdom of ‘one people one planet’ and are ready to roll up their sleeves to bring back the garden. Come for a day, a week, a month, a year. You are welcome. For more on these possibilities, see Echo Valley’s Offerings.

A New Activism
A New Activism Third Weekend of Every Month
at Echo Valley Farm in Ontario, WI

On the third weekend of every month, Echo Valley Hope welcomes everyone to a discussion about activism, the importance of nonviolence, and the need for all people to consider our complicity in the current state of affairs. We will offer one another possible strategies, courage, and the determination to stay the course. This month we will be focusing on cooperatives: what they are and how they can benefit the community. Look at A New Activism for updates and details.

A New Activism

To accept the Path of Peace one has to dedicate their life to Non-violence. This task is almost impossible but it can be done. Now when your life is coming to an end, you can say, "I did my best, my very best."

- Dennis Banks, 1937-2017

Please take a moment to read a letter from the president of the educational and charitable nonprofit, Echo Valley Hope.

Echo Valley Hope champions people and organizations who love and honor the Earth and strive for peace. Those who recognize that the sun and the wind can supply our energy; that gardens sown by loving hands can yield all that we need; and that water is life.

Your secure PayPal donations help with costs and keep us going. Thank you to all who are supporting our work.

In Beauty may I walk.
All day long may I walk.
Through the returning seasons may I walk
With Beauty before me, behind me, above me,
All around me, may I walk
It is finished in Beauty.
It is finished in Beauty.

- Navajo Prayer
