Loving this place where
people come together, share food, help one another, and take time to
discover the preciousness of being alive. Oh, and then there is that
sweet mule that shows up in the photos…
As 2018 comes hurling in,
I am grateful for you, my friends, for your encouragement and kind
words and for the bright flame of hope that refuses to be extinguished.
Regardless of hardships and all that may come, we must remember this:
We love and are loved. We can and we will persevere.

Warm greetings! My name is
Andi, and I am a WWOOFer here at Echo Valley. WWOOF
is a worldwide movement of individuals who volunteer on organic farms.
Some tidbits about me: I am 34 years old and a member of the Ho-Chunk
Nation, one of eleven tribes here in the state of Wisconsin. I am a
bachelor's and master's graduate from the University of Wisconsin-La
Crosse and excited to learn all that I can here in rural Ontario as
well as Echo Valley. I am learning about herbs and looking forward to
canning and working with the farm animals.
On December 28 at 9AM CST,
you can listen in to WDRT’s show Conversations
to hear Andi and Dena discuss the relationship of the Ho-Chunk Nation
to our local area, past and present.
December 16 from
10AM to 3PM
We come together because
we need one another...and because it is time.
Sessions will run from 10AM until noon, break for lunch, and reconvene
from 1PM to 3PM. We will meet the third Saturday or Sunday of each
month. There is no cost.
